questions to ask

Use these short questions when a record, balance, refund, or credit did not follow you. Ask for a written answer whenever possible.

school or training credits

Which courses were accepted, denied, or still pending, and which office owns the final transfer decision?
What document would change this decision: transcript, syllabus, catalog, course description, accreditation record, or department review?

deposits and old balances

Can you send an itemized final statement showing whether any deposit, credit, or balance remains?
Was any balance returned, mailed, transferred, or sent to a state unclaimed-property program?

tax or school refunds

Which official refund route shows the current status, and is there a deadline or claim window?

job benefits and payroll

Which provider or custodian holds the payroll, benefit, retirement, or insurance record now?
